Not quite finished with the wiring and the frame trimming. But take critical look at the lines and frames, note what a beautifully squared and symmetrical job these guys did. And they were all extremely informative of the system and the details I asked about as I thought of questions.

Not quite finished with the installation here either,but you can see here again what a fine job the crew is doing. This roof is a Southeastward facing slope. All of these are the latest Micro-Inverter style Solar Panels. I learned from the crew that I can coordinate with the company and access the panels to see how the system is doing at any time. And to see what each panel is producing. During testing the system was producing a minimal amount of power due to the sun setting and being very low on angle. Even at this very less than ideal generation time, the system shown to be producing around 9.5 amps. But the best part was when I looked at my smart meter and saw power was flowing from our home back onto the grid. The normal things were on in the house, the satellite system, TV, a computer, and all the parasitic loads of things like clocks and the phone system. Still in the few minutes of actual operation the system produced 1 KW of power on the solar meter. I'm very excited about further trimming on our power use, and being able to produce enough to offset a large part of our former bill.

Again from the sidewalk in front of the neighbors house. Since I asked for more panels in our system, 4 more were factored in for a total of 24 panels. We also have a pool and the pump requires enough run time to keep it sanitized. That factors in to push us into higher (and more expensive) tiers for our power company to charge. And we live in Southern California where summer heat can add dramatically to power consumption with air conditioning. Even with the most energy efficient equipment, and conservative operation, we had done all we could before going solar.

Let's face it, we as a culture are still getting use to the idea of panels on our roofs to make electricity. It isn't exactly the prettiest thing about a roof... or is it? Because we have a chimney in the front, and a valley in the roof, you can see our South-Westward 16 panel array was designed with the shadow of the chimney and the confines of the valley. I like it. I like the more stylish arrangement over other installations I have seen of panels. Next is a closer view so you can see for yourself how truly symmetrical the craftsmanship of the crew is.

This is the same material (cargo netting, burlap threads, and Jute string dismantled. Made to blend in with the golden California grasses. Sticks, leaves, and brush parts added on site.

These are 5 strand + 1 string tufts in this piece. When folded and knotted into the netting it gives 10 + 2 and the hues I needed for the hills I play in.

The closest to the window are mine, the further ones are for AEG hop-up chambers. Seems to me the manufacturers could reduce inventory if they made these barrels a little more "universal".

Note that the threaded part goes OUTSIDE. The inside of the outer barrel needs to be very flat (low profile) for the hop-up assembly to pass it.

You can put threads in blind holes this way. These are crap inserts though. Steel or stainless steel would be better. I stripped 3 of these before I got one to my satisfaction.

Inner barrel with the silicon rubber spacers beside the OEM outer barrel. I put a couple of drops of Tri-Flow lubricant in the outer barrel as I inserted the inner. The OEM orange barrel tip is support #5, and the mock silence is the barrel muzzles final support. Here again is before additional work on this assembly.

Rather than put huge rings of tape, I opted to make these "washers" with a lesser amount of electrical tape to hold them in place. They give when installed in the outer barrel and add a lot of stability while still being self adjusting. I have relocated the forward one back, and did some squaring up of any out-of-roundness. They still fit great in the outer barrel and stabilize the assembly.

I began with the smaller mandrel and the thick material. I was very impressed with how Charlies New process dies were able to Pop-N-Drop the little gems. (I use a chute on my set-up for the checks to travel and drop to my catch tray. (Formerly a coffee container lid.)

Due to the damage on this rifles wood, I believe the solder carrying it was killed by an explosion. There is extensive shrapnel damage to the left side of the stock.
